Meet the founders
Roots With Radiance was developed by Mala, an IT professional whose life has always extended far beyond technology.
For years, Mala has cultivated an abundant organic garden in the Valley, developing a deep, practical understanding of plants, seasons, soil, and patient care. Her ability to help almost anything grow has earned her a fitting reputation among those who know her: the green thumb in the Valley.
Gardening taught her that lasting vitality rarely comes from a quick fix. It begins below the surface — with healthy roots, consistent nourishment, balance, and time. That same philosophy became the foundation for Roots With Radiance. A serious yoga practitioner and firm believer in holistic healing, she created this herbal blend at the intersection of her worlds: the precision of an IT professional, the lived wisdom of an organic gardener, and the mindful discipline of yoga.
“Care for the roots with patience, and radiance follows naturally.”
Ravi brings to Roots With Radiance a lifelong interest in science, technology, and holistic well-being.
Following a long career in software engineering, his deep interest in nutrition and metabolic health led him to become a certified health and wellness coach. This journey naturally encouraged him to explore the relationship between time-tested traditional practices and modern science.
Having grown up in India, Ravi was raised in a culture where herbs, roots, seeds, and natural ingredients were an integral part of everyday life. At Roots With Radiance, his responsibility is to support this underlying philosophy and assist in taking Mala's botanical creations and vision to a wider audience.
He believes that traditional knowledge deserves neither blind acceptance nor casual dismissal, but rather thoughtful consideration alongside modern science. Through Roots With Radiance, Ravi hopes to promote a simpler, more natural approach to personal care, one that respects tradition, maintains transparency, and encourages people to rediscover the botanical wisdom passed down through generations.
Questions, answered
The short version of what a dry botanical blend means for you, and how to use it.
The product is being designed as a versatile botanical treatment. Final suitability guidance will follow product testing.
Because most hair products are mostly water — and shipping water means heavier packaging and more waste. Concentrating the botanicals means a smaller pack, and an infusion prepared fresh at the moment you use it rather than one that has been sitting on a shelf.
Add 2 tablespoons of the blend into 2 cups of water and let it steep for 30 minutes, boil on medium flame until it reduces to 1 cup, then strain to a smooth, oil-like consistency. Use the infusion fresh — within 24–48 hours, or within 3–4 days refrigerated.
Keep the pack sealed, dry, and out of direct sun. Final shelf-life guidance will be established through stability testing.
Yes — as with any new botanical product, patch-test on your inner arm and wait 24 hours before full use. Keep the dry blend away from your eyes, and avoid breathing in the fine particles when you scoop.
